Christine’s Healing Hands

There’s something sacred about allowing someone to touch on your body and release the baggage you’ve been carrying, both seen and unseen.

Every once in a while, you meet someone whose work goes beyond skill and it carries spirit. That’s exactly how it feels when you meet Christine, one of our very own Wana Mwanga members and a gifted masseuse whose healing touch speaks a language of care, intuition, and deep connection.

This week’s Massage Monday was a self-care session and a reminder of how the body, mind, and soul align when you’re in the hands of someone truly called to heal.

A Session Rooted in Intention

Before every massage, Christine begins with a quiet prayer. She does this, she explains, to release any energy that’s not hers and  ensure she doesn’t absorb the fatigue or pain from the people she works on.

It’s a small, sacred act that transforms her space into something spiritual. She continues with a calming body awakening routine to help you reconnect with your body.

The soft scent of essential oils fills the air. Calm music hums gently in the background. And in that stillness, she invites you to reconnect with yourself.

Her approach is deeply cultural and grounded in intuition, care, and respect for the body as a vessel that carries both joy and burden.

Focused on the Upper Body, Connected to the Soul

For this session, Christine focused on the upper body where we often store tension from overthinking, overworking, and simply carrying too much. With her rhythmic, thoughtful movements, she eased the tightness in my shoulders, neck, and back, reminding me to breathe, release, and let go.

Every stroke felt intentional as if her hands were listening, not just massaging. By the end of the session, I wasn’t just relaxed, I was realigned.

The Gift of Calling

Christine doesn’t see massage as a job; it’s her calling.

She believes her gift is to restore balance by working on muscles and helping people reconnect to their energy and breath. And that’s what makes her practice special. It’s not transactional; it’s transformative.

At Wana Mwanga, we celebrate women like Christine who carry both cultural wisdom and modern skill, as she uses her hands, heart, and heritage to bring light into you.

If you’re around Watamu, Christine is available for bookings through Wana Mwanga Shop at Horsebay Ventures. Her hands carry warmth, prayer, and wisdom; the kind that reminds you that care, is a cultural practice.
